HP Launches New Touch-Enabled PCs, Notebooks And Signage

Palo Alto, California-headquartered Hewlett-Packard Development Company LLP has announced the launch of a set of new machines and devices that are touch-enabled.

In the PC segment, the company has launched three machines. TouchSmart 300 sports a 20” monitor and AMD Athlon II processor and costs USD 899. TouchSmart 600 comes with a 23” monitor and runs on Intel Core 2 Duo processor, and is available at USD 1,049. TouchSmart 9100 is tagged as a machine meant for businesses, comes with 23” widescreen display and Intel Core 2 Duo processor, and can be bought for USD 1,299.

In the notebook segment, HP has launched TouchSmart tx2, which comes with 12.1” WXGA (1,280X800) display and is touted as the world’s first notebook with touch-screen, runs on AMD Turion X2 Dual-Core processor, and has a price tag of USD 799.

In the signage segment, HP has come out with 4200tm, which has a 42” diagonal wide-aspect LCD Active Matrix display, 1,920X1,080 full HD native resolution, and can bought for USD 2,799.

All these products are scheduled to be available from November / December 2009.

Heigh-ho. Another plain old gaming desktop… Are you crazy?! Go ahead, just a take a look at one of these beauties!

The CyberPower Gamer Xtreme desktops floor you from the word go- they don’t even need those 3D goggles to dazzle you. So the packaging may be bulkier than you expect. This machine has still wowed all circles for its delivering one of the most solid price-performance combo around. Bigger does mean better sometimes.

HP Introduces xw9400 Workstation Series

Palo Alto, California-headquartered Hewlett Packard Development Company L.P. has announced the introduction of a new series of workstations, christened xw9400.

There are four models in this series: FL836UT priced at USD 2,599; FL838UT priced at USD 2,800; FL839UT priced at USD 4,299; and FL840UT priced at USD 4,799.

The new series incorporates AMD’s Opteron processors, ranging from a single quad-core 2376 Opteron CPU to two quad-core Opteron 2376’s. All the workstations have 4GB 667 Mhz DDR2 SDRAM, except the FL840UT, which sports an 8GB RAM. The basic models come with hard disk drives with capacities ranging from 250GB to 500GB.

The four models target different segments of the market. While the lower-end FL836UT is for the price-conscious, the FL838UT is for those who want a high-capacity storage (500GB) but who are not really interested in graphics. The FL839UT and FL840UT are attractive to those with heavy graphics requirements – the machines come with NVIDIA Quadro FX3700 (512 MB) graphics card.

The workstations come with the standard 16X DVD+/-RW SuperMulti SATA optical drive, and are preloaded with Microsoft’s Vista Business Version.

ACER updates the Aspire M5, M3 and X3 range

Acer, the Chinese computer manufacturer has recently updated its Aspire M5, M3 and X3 systems range with features like a new structural design, increasing the number of ports, HDMI units and the storage capacity. Acer announced these changes to the above mentioned desktop computers by introducing structural changes and enhanced specifications at consumer friendly prices keeping in mind the recession.

According to officials at Acer’s American plant, the most recent Aspire desktops combine aesthetics and functionality which is bound to impress even the most difficult to buyers. In words of Acer America’s senior manager for retail desktop product planning Stephanie Eggert- “Not only are the systems elegant in form, but they are efficient in function with user-friendly features that maximize time and space.”

The Acer Aspire M5800 series has an Intel Core 2 Quad CPU which reaches a speed of up to 2.66 GHz, in terms of storage the 8 GB RAM beats many desktops in that range. It also comes with Nvidia GeForce GT230 graphics with 1.5 GB of video memory, 750 of hard drive storage, 8 USB 2.0 ports (four in front, four in back). In terms of other specifications there is FireWire, 802.11n Wi-Fi, HDMI output, a Super Multi DVD burner and a multi format digital media card reader.

The Aspire M3800 has a 2.5 GHz Intel Pentium processor, 4 GB RAM, Intel GMA graphics, a 640 GB hard drive, 802.11n Wi-Fi, a Super Multi DVD burner and the same complement of USB, FireWire, and HDMI ports. Both the M5800s and the M3800s are available with Windows Vista Home Premium.

Acer has a small form-factor (SFF) Aspire X3810 with a 2.5 GHz Intel Pentium processor, 4 GB RAM, GMA graphics, a 320 GB hard drive. It has nine USB 2.0 ports FireWire, HDMI, a Super Multi DVD drive and Windows Vista Home Premium all this comes with a combined 20-inch widescreen LCD display.

Acer introduces new desktops in theVeriton range

1-desktopAcer on Friday announced new design updates for its Veriton range. The changes introduces in four desktops optimizes them physically and makes it much easier to work with them and even repairing any damage makes it much easier. The Acer Veriton M265, Veriton M412G and Veriton M670G desktops have undergone a major design update for better use, easier repairs and better physical integration. Acer is no.3in the market for PCs, and it is in direct competition with companies like Hewlett-Packard, Dell and Lenovo.

The new design has open air vents for improved ventilation and apart from that a series of slats cover the mesh panel which strengthens and reinforces the structural configuration of the PCs and ensures greater sturdiness of the structure. A hinged, cableless front bezel has been added, making the PCs open up for repairs easily, along with all this a completely new interior layout creates more space for hard drive, optical drive and floppy drive which can be directly and individually accessed without moving additional parts.

Other features that have been better organized are the PCI cards, power supply, hard drives and other hardware in their respective locations. The new Veriton models are capable enough to be oriented either vertically or horizontally hence making it easy to share especially for users sharing the same cubicle and also the I/O ports have been moved to the front and the top of the PC.
 
The Veriton M265-ED2220C runs on Windows Vista Business and includes an Intel Pentium Dual-Core E2220 processor (1MB of L2 cache, 2.40GHz, 800MHz FSB), an Intel G31 Express chip set, 2GB of DDR2 SDRAM and a 160GB SATA (serial ATA) hard disk drive.
 
The M265-BE1400C model has the similar configuration with Vista OS but has an  Intel Celeron Dual-Core processor E14000 (512KB L2 cache, 2.0GHz, 800MHz FSB) and is fitted with a 19-inch TFT LCD screen.

The Veriton M412 also runs on Windows Vista Business but has an AMD Athlon X2 Dual-Core processor 5000B (2 x 512KB L2 cache, 2.6GHz), an AMD 780G chip set, 2GB of DDR2 SDRAM and a 160GB (2) SATA hard drive.
