If you have movies and media on your jard drive it’s not as simple as importing it into iTunes and loading it onto your iPod, the files needs to be converted and that is where Videora comes into it’s own. This free utlity will takes films on your hard drive and convert them for use on your iPod.

There is an easy to use walkthrough that guides you through the selection and output options and then it goes to work. The software, developed by the creators of Videora, can convert all types of video files (avi, divx, xvid, flv, x264, vob, mpeg, DVD’s, YouTube, etc.) into the proper video formats (MPEG-4, H.264) that play on the iPod.

In my test a normal 90 minute film took around 15 minutes to convert.

PDF995 can also convert a PDF into the following formats – JPG, TIFF, BMP< PCX, TXT, HTML and DOC. It also  integrates with MS Office and is cross platform compatable.

The trade-off?
