Taipei, Taiwan-based Acer Inc has launched a new notebook in its Timeline series, which according to the company release is eco-friendly.

Christened Aspire 3811TZ / TZG, the computer is free from environmental pollutants such as Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) and brominated flame retardants (BFR). This device has also been awarded the coveted Energy Star 5.0 rating for its efficient use of energy.

It has up to 4 Gb of DDR3 1,066 Mhz memory, and comes pre-installed with 320 Gb Hard disk drive. Acer-Aspire 5735-4624: Laptop At Basement Bargain Price

If you have always wanted to bargain-hunt for a laptop at the most economical price possible – look no further. Acer’s Aspire 5735-4624 is just the one for you.

This laptop has had to make a lot of sacrifices in the frills and bells-and-whistles department to be able to reach the price tag of sub-USD 400, which is eyeball-to-eyeball with the netbooks. But users aren’t complaining, especially considering that it is cheaper than its competitors with the same CPU (2.0Ghz Dual Core T3200) by a least USD 250.

Aspire 5735-4624 is actually like a misfit in the laptop category – its large screen size at 15.6 inches, measured diagonally, coupled with the aspect ratio of 16:9 (in comparison to the standard 15.4 inch, 16:10 aspect ratio) makes it a treat for movie-buffs on the go.  However, the flip side is a relatively lower resolution than what one might get to enjoy with its more fanciful brethren.

It’s a surprise the manufacturers thought it fit to embed a numeric pad to the right of the keyboard, for this has meant reducing the sizes of most of the keys, making it slightly more cumbersome to operate than what one is used to with the costlier versions.

Besides Intel’s Pentium T3200 processor, the system’s innards hold RAM worth 2Gb (667 Mhz), and a hard disk that can hold 160 Gb of data while rotating at 5,400 rpm.
